Bass In Your Face Vol. 5 - Triple X Bass

Non stop mix!

OK friends, I realize that it has been a Bassman month, but I have another one!
A: It is not my fault that Mr Bassman drops bombs!
B: According to Mr Bassman Keith Rosenberg these tracks were licensed exclusively to this Japanese release; Bass in your Face Vol. 5! That means there is a huge possibility that you never heard these before. That alone is worth sharing this release, agree?

Trust me, this IS triple X bass, you'll see:

And? Ears still ringing? Yep, the Plus Cool guys did it again. And since we are on a covers blog, check out the Plus Cool logo designed by KAZZ.

Bassman - Bass 2 Tha Old School Volume 2

The wait is over!

I told you that I couldn't wait but luckily I did not have to wait long. The Bassman is back y'all!
And as you can tell from looking at the cover (with Illustration by Darren Shaw & graphic design from Daniel Lynch), Mr Bassman brought some friends; DJ Billy E, DJ Lace, Kevin Montgomery, 2BMF, Mellow J and DJ Sway-Z.

Check 'em out:

"Our second collection of Old School club anthems set to the Bass of the 90's. "Drop" these classic cutz in your car or home system, listen back, and enter the domain of Quad city, U.S.A. Whether your peepin "Computer Power" and "Jam On It" from Newcleus or the classic "Play At Your Own Risk", the Bassman has phattaned every track giving props to the Old School while lacing them wit the flava of BOOM!

Bassman Vol. 04 - Miami Bass Raps

Old school raps

I have no idea what keeps possessing these people to keep releasing stuff like this... We get 10 tracks here which are all covers of rap classics like "White lines", "It's tricky" and "The roof is on fire" just to name a few. But listen to what they did with it. Do you think this is a good cover version??

And how do you like this Run-DMC cover?

OH! Wait wait wait! After taking a closer look at the inlay I get it! No only do they insult their buyers but they give away the secret; "... this cd is really a cool SHIT, a REAL SHIIIII-T.", get it? ^^

As usual Toshiaki Ishii (art direction), Kazuhiro Osakabe (design) and Motoi Abe (photography) did their best with the visual aspect...

So there you go. If you are curious about how every track sounds like, I welcome you to listen to the "Nonstop edit" I posted on YouTube. You can also click HERE.

Bassman - Mega-Bass

Hey! You, bullshit!

Me?? Can you imagine? So when you buy this cd and you remove it from the tray to slide it in your player, that is the message you receive ^^!! Take a look:

They should be talking to themselves! "... the best bass cd that you can listen to so far." YEAH RIGHT! It's bullshit. The artwork: no problem. As we are used to with Japanese releases, they always put in work when it comes to that. The design is done by Kazuhiro Osakabe and the photographer is Motoi Abe. They even threw in a few extra stickers:

But the music? That's where the problem starts. Absolutely nothing good on this cd! OK, maybe the 2:38 minutes from the "Tour the France" cover, but that's it (and that even came from another cd!). Don't believe me? Listen to the "Nonstop edit" and be convinced...
  1. Tour de France (from cd "Techno-Bass")
  2. Rydeen (from cd "Techno-Bass")
  3. Glad to know you
  4. What a feeling
  5. I want you
  6. Let's go round again
  7. Get off
  8. Venus
  9. I was made for dancing
  10. Get ready

Ofcourse tastes differ, so if you want to hear more you're invited to go HERE.
