Subwoofer Test King

 Sound Test Equipment Preferred Dish

Today I have a real cool item to share with you! What you see here is an audiophile CD box from Mainland China. Released by MUSICNESTMUSIC it contains a total of 8 CD's with 136 tracks ranging from classical music to sound effects, Western popular hits,Chinese traditional music, African tribal rhythms and everything else inbetween...

I was really pleasantly surprised with the quality of the package. It comes in a nice metal box with an 8 page booklet and as mentioned before 8 CD's.

Not just 8 CDs but 8 black CDs! According to the booklet they are made out of "High transmittance polycarbonate material, backed with new nano reduction film coating, diskblue-black".

Furthermore it reads, and I quote;" Black rubber CD adopts exclusive patented production technology. It does not have the disadvantage of die casting loss and format conversion, which leads to the deterioration of sound quality. The use of special materials makes black rubber CD more durable. Simply put, black glue CDs use exclusive patented technology, coupled with the processing of artistic sense, even on ordinary CD machines can also obtain (black glue record) like music enjoyment. The voice is really amazing, the sound field is super wide, the voice is real, it is worthy of the black rubber CD."

Black rubber CD? You learn something new every day!!

Now let me tell you, I am not a fan of audiophile CDs at all! Disc 3 for instance turns out to be THIS RELEASE (sucks), and disc 1 THIS RELEASE (more suckage, but that is my opinion ofcourse! Might be gold for others!). The other 5 discs also didn't move me.

So where does this post become relevant you ask?

With disc number 4!

That's awesome right? The Chinese release of "Bass Explosion U.S.A. Volume One"! Talking about a rare find...

Didn't put anything on YouTube because this is mainly an item for your collection but you can always CLICK THIS LINK if you want to hear the black disc Bass Explosion!!!

Bass Gangsters

In Japan

Can you see it? When I saw this image during a Google search I realised there was something "wrong", something missing... Were was that classic DM Records "CAUTION MEGA LOW BASS May Damage Speakers" banner?? You know, this one:

So after some more Googling that night it turned out this was (I know, yet another) Japanese release! Released by Dolphin Entertainmetn co, Ltd Japan. The same guys that brought us the "Feel The Bass" series. They did have a warning also, on the OBI:

Dolphin also did the "Old School Players" CD (maybe they did more but these are the ones I know off). I know we are all different, but I think they really look nice with the OBI strips... and the extra DM stickers ;-)

I also have anohter Japanese DM release; "Bass Sound Off U.S.A. Volume 3". This is not a Dolphin release however but AMERICANA.

I actually haven't opened this one yet, but what seem to be the major difference with the Dolphin releases is that the Americana CD seems to be the original US release. The Dolphin CD's have Japanese liner notes and a new catalog number:

While the Americana release still has the original US catalog number. So I think they simply added an OBI strip without doing more work on it...

Latin Booty Party 2

The party doesnt stop!!

After the succes of Latin Booty Party, DM Records HAD to release another volume! This time the cover artwork was done by Dennis Friel.

Turn up the bass and PARTY!

Latin Booty Party

Continuous mix

Well... mix ? ... More fade in - fade out, not mixed by a professional, that I can tell you.

It's rather rare, so that's why I posted it here for my loyal fans.
As with most DM Records, the artwork was done by Deryck Ragoonanan for ImagExpress.

Trip Hop Experience - Chapter One

Unofficial release

That's why the cover looks so horrible. The color that is, because the cover was designed by Deryck Ragoonanan for ImagExpress Corporation. But the black and white image that I posted was taken from the Lithuanian cassette released by Zarazza. Mira:

The original DM Records release looks better:

This release came as a nice surprise! Some of the tracks are so hard they sound like Florida breaks, almost early rave-like. Listen to Digicom International!

Or "Acid people" by Europhase

DOPE SOUNDS!

"Relax" makes you do just that... relax... this sounds like a predecessor to vaporwave, pretty cool...

Yep, good release. I only wonder why they had to glue a "compact disc digital audio" sticker on the CD? Did they forget to print it??

DM RECORDS, FOR THE BEST IN BASS

D.J. Bass Syndicate Presents... Techno Bass Essentials

20 TRACKS

These are the tracks:

I seriously doubt it there is an actual "D.J. Bass Syndicate" out there who had anything to do with this cd. Just another DM Records compilation released with mandatory artwork from Deryck Ragoonanan to get more money in the DM bank account (hey, can we blame them?).

If you don't know about DM Records take a look around on YouTube. Otherwise let me know if you want to check out a particular song...

Oh hell here is a song:

BASS 野郎

未知との遭遇

What can I say man? LOVE the artwork - some real crazy sh*t! It was designed by "Tycoon Graphics" for "Graphickers"...

Unfortunately my scan didn't really capture the colors too good. Maybe this picture is better...

What say ye? The music's not bad at all either. 24 DM Records tracks!

Check out the playlist...
