BASS野郎・零. Another collection of Joey Boy Records music. As usual they added some ragga/reggaeton tracks, this time from "The Rasta Crew". Maybe they should have named these cd's "Joey Boy Yarou", since there's not only bass music on them.

Good? Also we have some songs from the "Cosmic Conspiracy" cd (which I featured OVERHERE), but this time the performing artist is credited by his real name; Scott Weiser.

Now I'm confused! The Rasata Crew?  I'm happy we still have Mega Jon Bass and Madd Blunted to save the day (or should I say cd?). Since you already heard so much about the Ice Man (like HERE and HERE) we'll play some Madd Blunted...

Bass Yarou - Erotica

You try it!!

Try and make the cover uncensored! Doesn't look to hard imo, but I have to hand it to Hajime Kobayashi (you know, the Bad News Records art director and designer); he really got creative on this one.

So what we have here is the first volume in the Bass Yarou 'Erotica' series. Actually what we hear on this disc is the complete Bass Erotica release "Erotic bass delight", originally released on Neurodisc records...

and 3 added tracks with the kind of vocals Bass Yarou 'Erotica' would become known for. There are no extra vocals on the Bass Erotica tracks so I will only post the 3 added tracks. Enjoy!

Yeah man, that subwoofer has a well-fitted resonance-box... Here we have another cd in the Bass Yarou series, which, as you might have figured out by now, is known for the interesting covers. Funny thing about this one is that the original cover to the booklet is actually a yellow one:

The cartoon cover is an extra one page leaflet.

All of this nice artwork was created by Illdozer Graphuck and the tracks (23 in total) come from a variety of bass labels; Dynamix II Records (Quad Queen), Joey Boy Records (Lady Dice and Fresh Celeste), Newtown Records (Beat Oulaws, Bass Boy & Def Bass Krew) and IBP (Bass Fraternity). Not a bad compilation (although the Beat Outlaws tracks suck balls...)

Bass For Summer Lowride 03

In all honesty I don't understand anymore; so is it "Bass Yarou"? "Bass Ya Low"? "Bass For Summer Lowride" So confusing! I do know that this must be Vol. 3, check the CD and back cover:

THIS is Vol. 2, I thought THIS was Vol. 1, and I'm still trying to figure out which volume THIS is then. Vol. 1,5 maybe?? Confusing, but there are much bigger problems in this world! So who cares anyhow?

You'll find most of the music off this Vol. 3 on YouTube already so I will give you the full album to enjoy.



Yep, not a bad compilation of classics at all. And combined with the crazy graphics by Illdozer Graphuck, this is an OK project I'd say...

This cd is from 1996, released on Bad News Records Japan. I'm sure it's in the Bass Yarou series but I can't really figure out which volume... maybe Vol. 2. Good cd though. All Joey Boy Records tracks. See the tracklist:

BASS野郎外伝 爆音ケンカ道

Yet another Bass Yarou release from Bad New Records. On the cover we have the same guy that is on THIS CD right here, but this is before he turned into a vampire. Makes sense, this is release BNCY-53 while the other one is BNCY-64. Also, does anybody know who this character is? Must be from a manga, but I don't now sh*t about that. So if you know, let me know please...

Back to the music. Good cd. Mainly Neurodisc tracks (we have Bass Hit, Bass Quake, Bass Cult, Bass Shock, Bass Erotica, etc...)...





 
But there's also a little Newtown (Vicious Base and Basswerk) and Joey Boy (Cyber Messiah)

 



Really worth the buy. Came with an extra sticker just like the other one.

I would like to inform you on who did the artwork but I really can't read anything in the booklet...

For future low ride

They are very hard to find but the Bass Yarou cd's from Bad News Records always have nice covers. On this cd you get Joey Boy Records releases only so that means it's a good compilation (except for the reggaeton tracks by Mr. Dino and Johnny Boy which I really don't like). There's also 2 tracks from the lesser known release by Terra Infirma. This is track 2;  Drum beats go like this.

Tsutaya Records Presents Bass 野郎

Bad News Records

Tsutaya Records, Bad News Records, I have no idea what is going on here anymore. I do know that it's an earlier release in the "Bass 野郎" series (or "Bass Ya Low", sometimes "Bass 'Yarou'") from 1998; BN-109. I also know that it's not a bad compilation. Only 12 tracks but a variety of bass styles. Definately not a bad start for somebody who is just getting to know the genre.

Ofcourse I initially bought this mainly for the cool cover. I'm trying to complete the "Bass 野郎" series also, but the cover is really the reason why I love these Japanese releases.

The back cover has a blue van. Rush paintjob after the heist???

BASS野郎 - Hard Core

Tari's having fun!

I say Tari because I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be the girl from Bass Shock's "Dungeon of Bass" cover; blond hair and same "clothes", but most of all the music on this Japanese release (in the Bass Yarou series I think) is exactly the same as on the original Neurodisc release. As you can see this is another cool Japanese release. I really like the way they didn't just create a totally different cover but they continued to work on the original. Prime example of why I started this blog. Since it's a cartoon the artist (unfortunately I can't read Japanese so I don't know who he is) took the opportunity to let his imagination run free and make her a little more voluptuous I see. Also she doesn't appear to be in the dungeon itself but in some type of booming car. Maybe the dungeon's speaker was blown?? Have fun Tari and enjoy the music...
