Well, they did not lie. You get exactly THAT. A bass check. Or better yet, bass checkS (not the ones in the mail!). There are 22 tracks on this release produced by Jaime Rothstein, and only a handfull have beats in them... When I first listened to this cd I just kept waiting and waiting; "yeah, drop that beat!"... nothing, took a good 6 minutes. Check it out:
Great cover! Unfortunately it doesn't say who drew it. I also wonder why they are robbing the New Town store? Probably because they like the merchandise... or could it be a diss? I do know one thing; wish I had one of these items here:
So about the music. The cd starts with a bass test and an explanation on what bass actually is. This might be useful if this would be your first contact with a bass cd...
Then they go into straight jackin...
Not a bad cd at all. All songs produced and arranged by Roderick B. Whitehead, mixed and engineered by Jimmy Star. For some reason I think it could have been an Underwood release. But the only "problem" is that after some time it starts sounding like a breakbeats album, "rap your own" type.
