It's here!!!
If you have been following us for some time you might know that this mixtape was in the making. As from today you can download it from B-Bart's bass covers right HERE!!! 16 Booming tracks, either brand new or either unreleased, but all made available for Miami bass history exclusively. Here's what the head guy in charge PappaWheelie has to say about it:
"The Miami Bass History movement took flight late in 2000. The initial goal was simple; look beneath the veneer of what many regarded as a low-brow gimmick, and highlight the innovators within.
Within its first year, the movement boasted participation from iconic veteran producers such as Maggotron, Dynamix II, DJ Magic Mike, Bass Mekanik, and Trip Theory.
Over the next decade, MBH became the hub of all activity for thousands, both in archiving and continuing progress. The movement is a collective of Old School icons and New School innovators, representing globally from Brazil to Europe; from the U.S. to Japan. MBH is now solidly central for any artist, fan, collector, and student of the era.
2012 is the year MBH has gone multimedia, launching multiple internet radio shows, a record label focusing on collectors’ edition vinyl and digital distribution, live events, artist management, participation in documentaries of the genre, a series of books on the subject, and public speaking engagements regarding the industry.
This debut "mixtape" spearheaded by Holland's DJ Overdose effectively bridges New School with Old School by including the likes of 2 Live Crew conspirator Uncle Balli, Boys wit da Bass member Cuzzin Crook, Michael Sterling veteran rapper Mellow J, Cut it Up Def Records creative chief Jock-D, as well as new school touchstones such as Hydraulix, SoundChasers, and Floorkilla. This effectively proves Miami Bass has had a 25 year+ consistent run of energy, fun, and music innovation.
