Last post of the year!
Because it's 31st of December already! Damn, ...time flies when you're having a bass covers blog!
I post this classic not because it's so rare, but because I finally managed to buy a copy on cd for a reasonable price; under $ 20 that is.
I bought the vinyl upon it's release in '88, but it took me some years to get the cd LOL! Here's how you can see it's an original from the 80's:
Yep, if you see that message inside your booklet, you know it's an original!
"Comin correct in '88" was also released in Brazil, "Shake it" was a HUGE hit overthere!
SEE YOU NEXT YEAR FRIENDS!

Trip Hop Experience - Chapter One
Unofficial release
That's why the cover looks so horrible. The color that is, because the cover was designed by Deryck Ragoonanan for ImagExpress Corporation. But the black and white image that I posted was taken from the Lithuanian cassette released by Zarazza. Mira:
The original DM Records release looks better:
This release came as a nice surprise! Some of the tracks are so hard they sound like Florida breaks, almost early rave-like. Listen to Digicom International!
Or "Acid people" by Europhase
DOPE SOUNDS!
"Relax" makes you do just that... relax... this sounds like a predecessor to vaporwave, pretty cool...
Yep, good release. I only wonder why they had to glue a "compact disc digital audio" sticker on the CD? Did they forget to print it??

Strong Mechanic Bass
BKA Quad Maximus
Because this cd is another Brazilian bootleg and it has the exact tracklist as Bass Mekanik's "Quad Maximus" release.
So yeah, nothing new here. This is good if you can get it cheaper than the original, or if you're on a completist mission like me, but then you pay more than the original. LOL!

Super Bass Mekanik
Clarion Kenwood Alpine Rockfordfosgate
Let me quickly drop some bootlegs on yo' ass before the year ends...
This is a Brazilian bootleg and as you can see by the cover this one features mainly Bass Mekanik tracks. I thought it would be the full "Max Killa Hertz" album but it's not. All Pandisc though, except 2. One of them is DJ Fury's "Magic Dike"...
but the other one I don't know. Maybe you can help me identify! Drop a comment if you recognise the song. LISTEN:

BASS野郎 - Hard Core 2
Not sure if Tari's still having fun!
Just as Bass 野郎 was the Japanese release for Neurodisc 's Bass Shock - Dungeon of Bass, Bass 野郎 2 is the same as Neurodisc 's Bass Shock II - Bass torture.
Bass Hardcore 2:
Bass Shock II
SAME TRACKS! With classics like Bass Obsession
Fantastic Galactic
and Getup & Jam!
Good CD, but I actually don't think this IS Tari! On the Bass Shock II cover she has blonde hair (as photographed by Al Freddy), but on the Bass Hard Core 2 cover it's black.Prolly Japanese Tari...
I guess the Japanes designer wanted to take a different route than Gerard Delaney & Sergio Pinon from AdImpact Inc.
I will leave you now with GHIA!

The Godz Of Quad - "The G.O.D.'z"
Kooley C, Jock D and Boogie Waters
The cover says "The G.O.D.'s" but on the sides it says "The G.O.D.'z"... hmmmm...
Whatever, this is a serious Miami bass album! It was released in 2008 on Cut It Up Def Records V2.0 but the tracks were recorded between 97 and 99. The producers of this album call it "the hardest hittin bass known to mortal man"! I don't know about that but tracks like "Don't front on me! or "Don't fight the feelin" are hard hitters for sure! Check it out:
SERIOUS BOOMS!

Bass Yarou Vol. 3
Bass For Summer Lowride 03
In all honesty I don't understand anymore; so is it "Bass Yarou"? "Bass Ya Low"? "Bass For Summer Lowride" So confusing! I do know that this must be Vol. 3, check the CD and back cover:
THIS is Vol. 2, I thought THIS was Vol. 1, and I'm still trying to figure out which volume THIS is then. Vol. 1,5 maybe?? Confusing, but there are much bigger problems in this world! So who cares anyhow?
You'll find most of the music off this Vol. 3 on YouTube already so I will give you the full album to enjoy.
Yep, not a bad compilation of classics at all. And combined with the crazy graphics by Illdozer Graphuck, this is an OK project I'd say...

Bass Patrol! The Video
Mega low bass! Crazy cars! And many girls
This is a rare one friends! Less interesting than I had been hoping for, but a rare one! The mega low bass, the crazy cars, the many girls, they are all featured in the 11 Miami bass videos contained on this tape. There is no extra footage, exept for some "monty python"-like skits inbetween the clips.
But I know you guys are just as curious as I was to find out what is on the cassette...
So here goes...

XXX Bass Queen 2
The Kotobazeme Vol 2
What we have here is 14 tracks of J-Bass composed by Ken Iwashiro and an insteresting cover illustration from Miyuki Yoshida. What to say, what to say... Some of the tracks are in the "Bass Erotica" style. Like where they have a woman talk dirty (at least that's what I think!) over the beats. Here's an example:
I have no idea what they are talking about, but I think it has something to do with being erect?
On some other tracks they go for some "rapping". Although the message might be the same as, let's say "The 2 Live Crew"s tracks, the delivery is a little different.
Check:
Nah fam, I think I'll just stick with the instrumental jams, like "It's up to you"...
So what do you think? Want to hear "You vituperat me"? Want to hear "U are murderer I love"? You do? Then go to the playlist on YouTube, or the playlist on the whatchamacallittube.
Enjoy some more design by Don Okamoto & Atsushi Suzuki.
But you know what's the craziest part?
THEY FINALLY GOT PEDOBEAR!

Bass野郎 サーキットの狼
The Circuit Wolf
Here we have another Bad News Records release in the Bass Yarou series. This appears to be the (un?)official soundtrack to "The Circuit Wolf", a manga published as "Circuit no Ōkami". As do most Bass Ya Low releases, we get a nice packaging and artwork all around. Hajime Koboyashi did his best, thats for sure.
So far so good... but now for the bad news; THE MUSIC. It sucks! (IMO ofcourse! Feel free to like it if you do!) I didn't know Michelle Jackson would perform Beat it!? I didn't know Nicky Marlboro would perform Livin' La Vida Loca!? I didn't know Ho Ho would perform Take On Me!? How could I have? (OK, you got me, could have checked Discogs).
LISTEN!
The only track I can enjoy is Mitso Shino's "Travelling without moving"
